Dash for Diapers
Dash for Diapers (formerly Track Friday) Keeps Babies in Middlesex County Covered-Secure your sponsorship early!!
The name may have changed, but the good stuff remains! Back again this Thanksgiving, the Diaper Dash (formerly Track Friday) will be a day of fitness and fun to support the AECDC-Central Jersey Diaper Bank. Burn off some of those Thanksgiving calories while giving back to the community.
Hosted at the Highland Park High School track on November 29 from 10am-12:30pm, this year’s Dash for Diapers kicks off with an adult-run at 10am, followed by the Opening Ceremony at 11am. Kids races, food and fun follow at 11:30, with experienced runners from the Highland Park Track Team races of varying lengths.
Entering its 5th year, the Dash is organized by the AECDC-Central Jersey Diaper Bank with its partners the Raritan Road Runners Club to raise funds for the only source of diaper assistance in Middlesex Count. With over $10,000 raised since they began, this team has much to celebrate as they expand upon four years of success with new partners and additional events in a continued effort to address a lesser-known but critical need for many working poor families.
“Many of us don’t realize the huge financial burden diapers are for low-income families,” shares event organizer Laura Gordon. “Daycares don’t except cloth diapers and neither do laundromats, eliminating what could be a cost-effective solution for many”.
Participants are encouraged to register early at: www.runsignup.com/Race/NJ/HighlandPark/DashforDiapers. Registration is free, with a donation of any amount suggested online or at the time of the event. All participants receive a free drawstring back, compliments of our sponsors. For an addition $25, those registering by October 10 will receive an event hoodie.
Sponsorships are available at varying levels starting as low as $150. Visit www.dashfordiapers.org/sponsors for package details and contact information.
